Some of the folks I spoke to are already hitting the road, and it says that at least 11% More people will be taking the trains to get to their destination. But many folks are opting for that old-school road trip. I just needed a few days off. We have a six month, and it's our first trip to Cape Cod, and we're going to see our family, and there's going to be about nine kids and ten adults, and maybe for dogs, so we wanted to get there early. And getting a head start is a good thing for this family. Airlines will be tested during this weekend's unofficial start to the summer travel season. AAA predicts more than 3 million travelers will fly into their destinations over the Memorial Day holiday. CBS News Chris Van Cleave explains how the flight industry has been preparing to handle the Rush. After the chaos we saw last summer, the airport had jammed freeways and long lines.
