×5 India Travel Tips I Use | Save Your Shoes from Ruin & More!
I've lived here in India for three years now. Let me give you five quick travel tips I use here daily. The first tip is that whenever you buy a drink I can, you must check that it's clean. They're always so. So did he look at all that, and so what I do is I carry around tissue paper, and I'll clean it myself with like a bottle of water or something. The store has handed me a clean one, but it's still dirty as hell. Secondly, every day when you're walking around here in India, there is so much dust on the ground that you must clean your shoes.
Every night, get a wet cloth and run it over your shoe, or else the muck will build up, and you won't get it out at the end of your trip. Thirdly, get rid of all your 2000 rupee notes. They're useless, yet nearly anyone on the street will take them. You need 500 rupee notes and 100 rupee notes only. People will not accept 2000 rupee notes because they don't have change, or it will wipe out their change.
I'm getting used to these 40-degree days during the Delhi summer, and the trick is to drink. Oh, see. If you're here during summer, these keep your body rehydrated during these hot days and keep your energy levels up. If you're only here for a week or two, don't risk eating strictly, but you can get all the street foods you want here at Holy Rums, or they can now follow restaurants. And it tastes like 90% of the flavor of the street, except it is much, much cleaner, and you won't get sick. The last thing you want to do is get here ill.
And it takes like a week to recover from Delhi. Belly, it's that bad. And if you guys don't listen to that last tip and you get sick, do not come to a government hospital like behind me. You guys have to find a good-quality private hospital because the care here can be, you know, substandard. And it will also take a lot of work to find the English language here. I hope those tips help, and if you check out the rest of my channel, you'll find a ton more advice on traveling safely here in India.
And you can even see the scammers in action to avoid them while you're here. There's nothing like seeing them in action.
